The story revolves around Will (Theo James), a lawyer, and his girlfriend Samantha (Sam) (Kat Graham), a couple who are expecting their first child. Will visits Sam’s parents in Chicago, Tom (Forest Whitaker) and his wife, with a view to asking permission to marry Sam, while she travels back to Seattle.
